JOB DESCRIPTION:

As Material Quality Assurance (MQA) and Technical Specialist, your primary roles will be:

Provide guidance for quality related activities associated with repair & overhaul and manufacturing operations;

Support overall root cause and corrective actions within the business;

Conduct visual and physical inspection, sampling, testing and control of parts, products and materials to conform to established standards of quality, through the various stages of manufacturing;

Conduct audits to ensure assembly operations comply with the highest standards of customer expectations and regulatory requirements within repair & overhaul;

Provide technical assistance and quality training support to operations;

Maintain oversight of MQA processes during operations activities.

Develop standard work process where required to continually improve the definition of QC inspection standards;

Prepare and administer training as part of certification activities;

Conduct supplier site audits when required;

Complete Non-Conformance Report dispositions when required;

Assist with New product development activities around R&O product;

Assist with First Article inspection activities for MFG and R&O product;

Trained as final inspector for R&O and MFG to support backlog or staffing issues.

Demonstrate a personal commitment to Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies;

Perform other related duties as required.

TASKS/DUTIES:

Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to interpret technical instructions.

Conduct regulatory internal audits to support TCCA and EASA certification requirements;

Support AS9100 and AS9120 and ISO internal auditing activities;

Assist with the control and disposition of ERP system inventory through, condition, location and final status;

 

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Previous experience within an ISO9000, or experience in a TCCA environment.

Background in electrical / mechanical assembly

Be conversant with the Canadian Aviation Regulations, and experience working in a Transport Canada Civil Aviation regulated environment; 

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Four-year college or; or minimum five years related experience and/or training in Aerospace or Automotive Quality management. 

CERTIFICATES / SKILLS:

Technical certification, CET, AME, etc.

Quality Auditing Techniques and or training in Quality Management.
